Editorial policy
Explore Rijeka is an independent discovery layer for Rijeka. Its job is to create desire and context, while Rijeka.travel can serve the broader destination-authority and planning role.
Selection
“The Explore Rijeka Edit” is intentionally selective. Inclusion is based on relevance, distinctiveness, sense of place and usefulness to a visitor. It is not a comprehensive directory and is not presented as an objective ranking.
Commercial work
Sponsored stories, partner placements, event takeovers and bookable experiences are permitted, but must be visibly labelled. Payment must not determine organic editorial inclusion or ordering.
Dates and factual claims
Time-sensitive dates are sourced from organizers or destination authorities. Recurring events are marked “TBA” until the next edition is officially announced. Content is dated and reviewed periodically.
AI and search transparency
Pages use semantic headings, structured data, descriptive metadata, explicit entity names, update dates and source-aware factual copy. The site avoids fabricated ratings, invented dates and unsupported superlatives.
